About Me

I'm Rommy Driks, proprietress of Kestril's Rhythms and Grooves. From a very young age I've loved stories, those I read in books and the ones I've made up in my head. My dad imparted to me a love of myth (especially Trickster stories) and music. Once I was old enough to read on my own, I also gravitated to fairy tales and fantasy, and I've never looked back.

I'm happily married with two children and a corgi called Kit. I still love fairy tales and fantasy, but have cheerfully added sci-fi to the mix as I grew up. When I'm not coming up with stories I can be found bellydancing, studying Japanese tea ceremony, crocheting, and of course, reading.

If you'd like to know a little bit more check out this interview I gave for Poet's United. Thanks so much for stopping by.
