the scarlet gift
I bestowed upon your cheek.
It is only a trinket
expressing my pleasure in this dance.
My real tribute to your skill will come later.

Liner Notes for This Groove: This cherita was created for the Weekend Mini-Challenge at Imaginary Gardens with Real Toads. Magaly asked us to go back and pick two prompts to combine into a short poetry bit (senryu, cherita, or elfchen). I chose Bits of Inspiration ~ You Write the Color and Just One Word: Trinket.
Caliente!
ReplyDelete¡SÃ! 😃

ReplyDeleteskill will come later.
Obviously she is taking it extra careful. When it comws to relationships sometimes one cannot be really be sure!
Hank
There is a time to be careful and a time to just go for it. 😃
DeleteI'm there, with Debra. I grinned and squealed and fanned myself when I finished reading. What a delightful promise, especially after the darks and reds and twists that get the story there. Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt's been awhile since I dropped a bit of naughtiness on the blog, so I jumped at the chance to do it, especially when I saw that photo.
DeleteOooh this is smoking hot!! 💖💖💖
ReplyDeleteThanks Sanaa!
DeleteIncredible. Especially the first two lines.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteSo beautifully expressed. I really love this form. These two prompts work very well together.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kerry. I saw the way they danced together and decided they must be paired.
DeleteI love your use of colours..such a rich and enchanting poem
ReplyDeleteThank you Jae
DeleteOh - how I love the ending, the anticipation of what will be next!
ReplyDeleteMmm-hmm :)
DeleteSky and scarlet. I want to know more. Later.
ReplyDeleteThat later has a lot of potential

ReplyDeleteMischief managed :)
DeleteI love it! Bold and alive!
ReplyDeleteExcellent!
DeleteI think you have a date :)
ReplyDeleteYep *grins*
DeleteWoa. I like your tease. No shyness in these powerful seductive words.
ReplyDeleteShyness is definitely not one of the feelings expressed :D
Deletepromises..promises (cheeky grin ).... :)
ReplyDeleteLOL...there's an inside joke my husband and I have around that phrase. :D
DeleteSeductive!
ReplyDeleteIndeed
DeleteLove it! This is my second cherita today - by way of introduction to the form - and both of them are really special … awesome, even. I like the form a lot and can see myself giving-it-a-go, at some point. The prompt you've responded to here, is very cool (the prompts people come up with - in and of themselves - I often find, are so fascinating) and you definitely did right by it.
ReplyDeleteThis was my first cherita. I will probably play around with the form again. Thanks Wendy.
DeleteWe often forget people are often two characters and what we see may not always be the person inside. The fact that she is talking to him means she knows him already and enjoys his company and all things are possible.
ReplyDeleteGood observation!
DeletePassionate as the indigo sky!
ReplyDeleteOh yes ;)
DeleteYour cherita is a marvellous match, Rommy! An appetizer indeed! I love the use of passionate colours and the hint of what is to come.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kim. I was very pleased at my first attempt on this form.
DeleteSigh :)
ReplyDeleteMmm-hmmm :)
DeleteOh my, delightfully steamy... Love it!
ReplyDeleteYay! Thank you
