'Allo

Why yes I’ll have a cuppa!
Let the missus know I’ll be there soon.
Not sure how I got here
Because I’d feel sorry for a Goblin King
Who presumed he’d take what isn’t his
My own goblins will set him straight soon
And educate him on monsters and planets
I may just take over when they’ve finished him up
This labyrinth might do for a nice vacation spot
May I bring my mister?
He knows where the best sweets are
And after tea is done
And our bellies are sure to burst
I’ll ask the right questions
Say my right words
And go right to the center

Song choice:  What else? Magic Dance by David Bowie from one of my favorite movies of all time, Labyrinth

This poem was created from a prompt offered by Magaly Guerrero for NaPoWriMo (Day 5: Poem to a fictional character)

  2. So sweet. ;-) I want to go where all the best sweets are too and have some tea until my belly is fit to burst. Sounds like fun.

    1. Oh yes! I would have loved the whole idea of the movie anyway, but David Bowie was beyond perfect casting for it.

    1. *covers ears*Lalalalalalalalala can't hear you lalalalalalalala...

It's very much a product of the 80's and some of the newer generation find it a bit dated, but I adore the heck out of it. YMMV

  7. I read it with his voice. And giggled all the way. This is my favorite line: "And educate him on monsters and planets".

  8. "My own goblins will set him straight soon"

Made me smile, always good to travel with your own goblins, just incase someone needs to be set straight.

  9. This creature sounds as my Nana did. Most memorable of the film to me.
Now that little boy who peed on Bowie is bringing more Labrynith back!
Thank you for the wonderful memory!
